The Talking Drum is made from the tree trunk with oval ends. It’s slit on the top and carved

hollow in the inside by a specialist artist. The base is made flat so that it can comfortably sit on

the ground with ample stability. Sometimes it's hoisted on tripod to improve sound and tone. It

has two batons used to beat the drum to produce lyrics that mimic the tone and prosody of human
